80th Birthday Cake

This cake was for the grandmother of a friend of mine that I've known since Elementary school. We used to take family trips with her and her parents. Those were some fun times!

This was the first time I've done flowers like the white ones. Thank goodness for cutters.

Boy/Girl 3rd Birthday

Two little friends had their parties together. The theme was dinosaur's for the boy and hearts for the little girl. The girl actually liked dinosaur's way more than the boy did, so I had to give her dino's too. All dino's were hand made. They took a long time to do, but I think it was worth it.

1st Birthday

I don't get to do many cakes for little boys, so I get excited
when I'm able to. The Mom chose Punk Rock for the theme.
 Too cute!

Vow renewal ceremony

A good friend of mine and her husband renewed their vows on January 1st. She decided to go with cupcakes for the guests, and a small cake for them. I made a cupcake tower to place everything one. This was the first time I had done cupcakes this way, or made a tower.

The cupcakes were chocolate and white, covered in white vanilla fondant. Each cupcake was adorned with small black fondant flowers with silver balls in the middle. The bride & groom's cake was butter pecan. It had larger black fondant flowers on the top of the cake, with the same smaller flowers cascading down the side. The ribbon used around the edges of the cupcake tower was also the border for the cake.

The venue they had it had was still decorated for Christmas, and was just small enough for an intimate ceremony. Everything turned out beautifully. I don't think a more perfect vow renewal ceremony could have taken place. And I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of it.
